The work

What this actually involves.

Composite decking is the answer to what pressure treated wood puts you through every couple of years. No sanding, no staining, no sealing, no splinters, and no boards cupping after a Georgia summer.

A Trex deck gets washed with soap and water and that is the whole maintenance routine. It resists fading, staining and mold, and it holds its colour through heat and humidity that chews up a stained wood deck.

New composite decks

Designed, framed and built from the ground up, sized to your yard and your door heights, with the railing and stairs to match.

Deck resurfacing

If your framing is still solid, I can tear off the old boards and re-deck the whole thing in composite. It is the cheapest way into a maintenance free deck.

Railings and stairs

Composite and metal railing systems, black balusters, closed risers, lighting posts. The details are what make a deck look finished.

Porches and pergolas

Covered porches, screened in porches and pergolas built over the deck so you actually use it in July.

How it goes

Start to finish.

I come out and measure

Free, and no pressure. I look at the space, the framing if there is any, and what you want out of it.

You pick the boards

Trex comes in a lot of colours and grain patterns. I bring options so you are choosing off real samples, not a screen.

We build it

Clean site every evening. You know when we are coming and when we are done.

Walk it with me

We walk the finished deck together before I call it done.

Questions

Straight answers.

Far longer than a stained wood deck, and it looks the same in year eight as it did in year one. That is the whole point of the material, you buy it once instead of maintaining it forever.
Usually yes. I check the joists, the ledger and the footings first. If the framing is sound, re-decking is a lot less money than a full rebuild.
Yes. Deck, railing, stairs and trim all come from me so nothing gets left half finished.
Soap, water and a brush a couple of times a year. No stain, no sealer, no sanding.
